The Living Dolls

B.S stands for Barbie Syndrome which of course can validly evoke a response - Bull Shit, a syndrome named after a plastic doll!! Don’t say this in front of Cindy Jackson who has spent a fortune to get Barbie’s measurements of 39-23-33. And she’s not alone in this quest. Why do women (men want to look like Ken) go to such lengths to appear dysmorphic and blonde. Is this an overwhelmingly blonde affliction? How perverse is Barbie’s grip on the conscious of young girls that it does not leave them even years after passing puberty.

Of course Barbie makes a decent career model having donned more hats in her 47 year span till date than artists in the lengthiest vaudeville act.  She’s been everything from a doctor, astronaut, fashion designer, paleontologist, and even run for president’s post.

Cindy Jackson, according to some reports holds the world record for plastic surgeries, 47 in all. Though, she says she’s had only 16. Does this have something to do with the Jackson surname? She takes pride in all the plastic that she carries and when she’s not under the knife she is the lead singer of the band, The Dollz. Brilliant!!

What’s interesting is that Cindy does not confirm to our preconception of a dumb blonde (well, apart from her desire to look like a Mattel toy). She had a high IQ as a kid and cleared the tests for joining Mensa.

Nine cosmetic surgery procedures carried out under general anesthesia took place over a period sixteen years. According to Ms. Jackson, three out of nine operations were performed during the 80s when she was still in the initial stages of her extreme transformation. The two operations that followed were done to fix the unpleasant outcome of the previous surgeries.

Ms. Jackson, now around 48 years old, states that, if she only knew better in the past, she could have pulled off her almost-perfect façade in just four surgeries. Be that as it may, she is definitely delighted with her current appearance and is very much grateful for all the good things it has brought into her life.

To get to know the “the living Barbie doll,” you have to backtrack to the time when Cindy Jackson was still a plain, unattractive little girl from Ohio.

The old Cindy Jackson: before cosmetic surgery

Cindy Jackson grew up in a small farm in Ohio. Her father was a farmer-turned-inventor who had a penchant for playing the trumpet. Ms. Jackson’s mother, on the other hand, was a coal miner’s daughter from the state of Kentucky. The couple had two daughters, Cindy and her older sister, Gloria.

At an early age, Cindy Jackson was fond of flipping through her mother’s collection of Vogue magazines and daydreaming. At the age of six, she came across a Barbie doll in a toy store. She instantly became fascinated with the elegance of the plastic doll and considered it to be the first of many icons of feminine perfection against which to gauge herself.

Because of her intelligence, Cindy was accelerated at her high school in Freemont. Nevertheless, her adeptness did not make her popular. Ms. Jackson even recalled how people used to think she was autistic because of her favorite hobby – daydreaming.

Domestic life also presented a number of issues. Gloria, Ms. Jackson’s big sister, was constantly regarded as “the beauty,” whereas she always held the label of “the brains.” Gloria was as beautiful as their mother was. Cindy, on the other hand, looked a lot like their father, with his hefty chin and big nose.

The new Cindy Jackson: after cosmetic surgery

When her father passed away in 1988, she inherited $100,000. She considers it to be the defining moment in her life. She had always hated her face and wanted to look more like her icon of perfection – Barbie. With the money she had, she started to enumerate the physical features she wanted to alter.

The numerous cosmetic surgery procedures and treatments she had opted to have done include: eye lifts, nose jobs, cheek implants, lip enhancement, cosmetic dentistry, chin reduction, jaw reshaping, face lifts, breast augmentation, breast reduction, dermabrasion, chemical peels, fat transfers, liposuction, filler injections, laser treatment, and many more.

Cindy Jackson’s motivation for reinventing herself goes beyond attracting men. Her driving force to transform her entire look has a way deeper source and certainly is not a superficial whim. Of course, its not easy to maintain your beauty, especially when its implanted and so Cindy needs to get her lips re-pouted every few months.

Cindy aka Barbie met Miles (earlier known as Tim Whitfield Line) aka Ken and the two are now soulmates. Tim was inspired after watching Cindy on TV and seized by the inspiration he sought her out, took her blessing and after some 50, 000 pounds spent in surgery over a period of one year, he is now Miles Kendall - a successful web designer, dancer, and bar owner. As an aside, its “Miles” coz’ he now looks miles better and “Kendall” is Ken-doll. Tim alias Miles has had a nose job, eyebrow lifts, lip job, dental surgery, cheek implants, laser skin peels, and jawbone sculpts. I bet he’s had a bicep and butt implant too but he’s not telling. He now wears blue contact lenses.

A lot of us might consider spending that much money, especially if we have inherited it from our grandparents who doubtless worked hard for it,  on improving our physical appearance as a very shallow thing to do. But who are we to decide and in my opinion Mike could’ve done with the surgery, take a look at his before and after pics on his website.

  1. What a waste, all sides ’round. What a waste for her to expend so much in order to be even sweeter dick candy; What a waste for all those men who chanced to get caught in her web and have their bank accounts sucked dry. Money is language, a quantitative language; its referent is value. What value has she conferred upon the world? Such waste! She and her men alike are nothing but degenerate parasites.
